2008 Columbia Valley Red Paintbrush Red Wine (63% Cabernet Sauvignon 19% Cabernet Franc 12% Merlot 6% Petit Verdot) The four wines in the Red Paintbrush Red Wine Blend are from Dionysus and Weinbau Vineyards, both farmed and owned by Sagemoor Farms. Dionysus Vineyard is located steep southwest slope above the Columbia River and Weinbau Vineyard is located on the Wahluke Slope.
The Red Paintbrush has a dark red color, like a modern Bordeaux. The nose is a seamless ensemble of red and black fruits, vanilla, and hints of allspice, coriander, and wood smoke. The mouth feel is “Marilyn Monroe like” for luscious curves in the ripe and generous dark currant, bing cherry, and plum flavors. The fruit is supported by the complex interplay between the generous acidity that all Isenhower wines have and the smooth as silk tannins that Dionysus and Weibau Cabernet Sauvignon bring to the blend. Enjoy through 2018 14.4% alcohol by volume 3.77 pH 0.75 g/100 ml total acidity
